Pre-requisites to employment: All prospective employees at Cross Roads homes must provide the following documentation prior to hire. This documentation is a prerequisite to employment and must be updated regularly and upon request during employment.

• Criminal Records Check: This records search may be requested from RCMP office in your area of residence. Edmonton City Police checks can be completed at 14315-118 Avenue.  The search may take up to 10 working days to be completed.

• Child Welfare Record Check: This records search may be requested from any Child Welfare office located in your area of residence. In Alberta, this information is available free of charge to anyone who wishes to work in a field related to child care. Child Welfare in other provinces may have different rules for access to this information. Please check with the Child Welfare office in your area downtown Edmonton at 1100 HSBC Building, 10055-106 Street.

• Drivers License: All employees must have a current Alberta driver’s license.

• Drivers Abstract: A driver’s abstract may be requested at any Motor Vehicles Registry service. The document is usually available over the counter at the time of request. Prospective employees must have less than 6 demerits registered against their license.
