Cross Roads Residential Youth Care Association will be an efficient and effective agency that utilizes the skills and experiences of its staff as well as promoting community based programs as a useful tool to both educate and enhance the lives of our youth and maximize our potential to achieve our mission.
It is our intent to provide superior service to young adults that continually exceeds their needs. We will maintain and record this high quality of service by utilizing a continual tracking method that focuses primarily on the positive success of our youth and their individual programs.
Every child has value, strengths and weaknesses; together we will create an individual treatment program to address the dynamic needs of each youth.
Cross Roads caregivers will continually evaluate the effectiveness of programming and make changes as needed to continue to show measurable progress. Results will be realized through positive reinforcement sensitive to the individual needs of our youth with the goal of overcoming each challenge by providing emotional, intellectual, spiritual and physical support with the avoidance of physical punishment.
We also recognize the value and importance of youth education. We will increase the chances of a successful education through a varied and individual approach, utilizing mainstream programming in the form of public, private and special needs services that meet and exceed the needs of each youth. This will be a dynamic process that will be continually adjusted based on recordable success.
Cross Roads Residential Youth Care Association will provide a safe and secure home environment in a culturally sensitive setting. We will utilize community activities that promote cultural diversity, respect and honor. We will enhance heritage awareness, instilling a sense of pride and increased strength by drawing on the culturally rich experiences of community and elders.
A schedule of traditional, recreational and artistic programming will be employed to encourage and enhance the development of mind, body and spirit. Life skills will be taught to youth in our care. Each will learn to function independently as they are shown the basics of problem solving, decision making and conflict resolution. Youth will be taught the rudiments of banking, budgeting and of making responsible financial decisions. This is done so that our youth can make measured steps towards independence.
